Flooding in the areas of Quintana Roo, Yucatan and Campeche is showing us all how small we are against the new type of Super Storms we maybe facing in the future. Hurricane Stan was a small category Hurricane which caused over 3500 deaths to flooding and just as he was done killing people drowning in mudslides and walls of water here come Wicked Wilma willfully washing out Western World Weather record in this 2005 Tropical Hurricane Season. Not more than two-weeks prior to Hurricane Wilma's un-welcomed arrival the Flooding of Hurricane Stan had already killed many people in Mexico and Guatemala nearly tying the drowning deaths of Hurricane Katrina. Some are worried about the additional weight on the plates from Wilma as they believe that Hurricane Stan's massive flooding also caused Earthquakes and volcanic Activity. Yucatan Peninsula is Flooding, including neighboring Belize and Honduras. Many US vacationers will miss their favorite vacation spot; Cancun and Cozumel Mexico and it will economically devastate the area. The Yucatan Peninsula has been hit four times now this 2005 Hurricane Season and Wilma is really hammering them, as we have massive flooding in Cozumel and Cancun from Hurricane Wilma with a storm surge of up to 20 feet, winds of over 145 mph and 15-20 inches of rain over a 36-hour period. Will it ever end? Think on this. |
